On July 22, I got to ride in ABLE (Air Born Law Enforcement), one of 4 helicopters that San Diego Police operates.
My friend
Blair is a crewman assigned to ABLE. We went up for a 3 hour hop in a Bell
Jet Ranger Long Ranger with The Pilot - Donny, Blair and myself. This is
Blair's regular job. Two or three times each shift he goes up on hops to support
ground units. I took my camera, of course, and snapped off a few hundred
shots (Don't panic, they're not ALL here :) )
