An intense lightning storm moved through San Diego County in the early morning hours of September 20, 2005.  Multiple down strikes reached for the ground all around me for hours. While shooting these, the other three directions were receiving hits.  Numerous tree fires were reported throughout San Diego.  These pictures are looking north from the edge of Mission Valley towards Black Mountain.
